ARTISTIC-PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITY AS A MEANS OF SPIRITUAL AND MORAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN
Abstract
The article is devoted to the influence of Orthodoxy on the spiritual and moral development of children of preschool age. The experience of the municipal budgetary institution of additional education of children in Tambov to solve the problem of spiritual and moral education of children and youth is presented. The novelty of the presented project consists in an attempt to implement an interdisciplinary approach that ensures pupils' perception of a holistic picture of the world; in the idea of creating a unified system of interaction between teachers, children and parents, allowing diversified development of preschoolers through the basics of Orthodox and folk culture: through acquaintance of students with the basics of Orthodox culture, Orthodox etiquette, with the history of major holidays, with preserved patterns, through excursions to Orthodox churches in Tambov , visiting exhibitions of masters of the Tambov icon-painting school, holidays in the existing convent, communication with clergymen. A mandatory condition for the implementation of the project is the joint participation of parents in the preparation or performance of a new “creative product”. The dynamics of motivational changes, the evaluation of the products of children's creative activity give grounds to state that the selected forms and content of the project’s activities proved to be effective.
