STUDY AND FORMATION OF ECOLOGICAL CULTURE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN: TOOLS AND RESULTS

Abstract
Primary school age is a favorable period for the formation of ecological culture. One of the primary steps to formation is correct diagnosis, as well as the use of modern learning tools. We have developed tools for studying the formation of ecological culture, which includes three methods: the test «What do I know about nature», the questionnaire «My attitude to nature», the questionnaire «What do I do in relation to nature». The entrance diagnostics was carried out in October 2022 on the basis of SOSH № 68 in Tyumen. Diagnostics revealed that the cognitive component is less formed (only 40% of students have a sufficient level) than the activity, axiological, perceptual-emotional. Taking into account the diagnostic data, a program for the formation of the ecological culture of younger schoolchildren was developed and implemented through a «green portfolio», including work with eco-habit checklists, pocket books, worksheets, stories and drawings dedicated to ecology, conversations with students and reflection on completed tasks. The effectiveness of the program was confirmed using the Mann–Whitney U-test.
