BEYOND TALENT: A TESTING EXPERT SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING PERSONAL POTENTIAL
УДК 159.9.072
Abstract
Introduction: the relevance of this development is driven by the shortage of personal potential assessment tools in the HR market. The objective is to substantiate the theoretical, diagnostic, and psychometric model of the author's Beyond Talent test for assessing personal potential. The objectives relate to describing the test's content validity, based on D.A. Leontiev's theory of personal potential. Materials and Methods: a brief analysis of the constructs and scales of the test for assessing the structure of personal potential is presented. The substantive configuration of the test expert system is visualized in infographic format. Results: the purpose and capabilities of the Beyond Talent test expert system for assessing personal and managerial potential are announced. The research design and potential application of the test in HR practice are demonstrated. The test is a multidimensional IRT questionnaire for assessing the typological structure of personal potential in professional activities. The complementarity of subtest results for assessing the soft competencies of personal and professional potential is demonstrated: by level, type, structure, and potential profile. Fundamentally new measurement metrics related to assessing the area of current development are presented. The test results allow us to answer the question of the individual's potential realization in work and to predict the individual's profile's compliance with the normative professional group. Conclusions: a brief overview of the test's psychometric characteristics allows us to conclude that it is a valid and reliable tool for measuring individual potential. The variability of the test model allows it to be implemented as a test expert system on digital HR platforms, addressing modern personnel selection, assessment, and development challenges using HR diagnostic and personnel assessment services.
