УДК 159.9
Abstract
A modern state with a high level of development and quality of life of the population is necessarily characterized by a highly effective state of law enforcement practice. An important element of law enforcement is the judicial corps. Thus, in conditions of a significantly increasing workload, it is relevant to study the problem of professional judicial burnout. The purpose of the article is to study the relationship between perfectionism and professional burnout of judges in the context of legal qualifications. The study involved 42 judges aged 35 to 45 years, 18 men and 24 women, with an average work experience of 7.4 months. A survey and psychological diagnosis were conducted using the following methods: the mental burnout questionnaire (MBI), developed by K. Maslach and S. Jackson, adapted by N.E. Vodopyanova and E.S. Starchenkova; the three-factor perfectionism questionnaire by A.B. Kholmogorova and N.G. Garanyan. Methods of mathematical and statistical data processing: average value analysis, Spearman correlation analysis. Judges have a high level of perfectionism, which determines the high level of their demands on themselves. The highest results were obtained according to the indicator "Concern about assessments from others", which may indicate the judges' fears of not meeting subjectively perceived high demands from other people, which can lead to fixation on mistakes and the search for signs of their incompetence and failure, non-compliance with high standards. The general severity of perfectionism is correlated with the level of professional burnout of judges. The number of cases in the proceedings is related to the general severity of perfectionism among judges, the more cases in the proceedings, the higher the risk of making a mistake, the higher the number of demands on oneself and the results of one's work. All this is reflected in the quality of judges' legal qualifications.
