MARITAL AND FAMILY VIEWS OF WOMEN WHO DO NOT PLAN TO SELF-ACTUALIZE IN MOTHERHOOD

Abstract
The article examines the problem of marital and family beliefs of women aged 24-30 who do not plan to have children. The results of a comparative study conducted using the methods of questionnaire and expert surveys, subjective scaling and mathematical and statistical data processing demonstrate that girls who are not focused on self-realization in motherhood have a specific vision of a modern family, marriage and relationships in it. They have developed an unconventional image of the family as matriarchal and with few children, which is not based on religious principles. The modern family is not comfortable enough for them, is conflictual and unstable. A common point for all young women, regardless of their reproductive plans, is the assessment of the family as a relatively open system, which is not characterized by despotism. Marriage is presented to young women who do not plan self-realization in motherhood as an unconventional, open and creative union focused on meeting their personal needs. However, such a union is assessed as rather short-term, and extramarital affairs, divorces and remarriages are acceptable forms of behavior. These young women are quite consistent in rejecting reproductive plans, therefore they consider abortion as a possible solution to the problem of unwanted pregnancy.
