UNCOVERING LIFE-MEANING DETERMINANTS IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AMID PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS: A CASE STUDY OF THE LUGANSK PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC

Abstract
The pressing issue of shaping the life-meaning orientations of young individuals, particularly those experiencing threats to life and health, is paramount in the context of contemporary Russia. The aim is to identify the life-meaning determinants of high school students who have endured prolonged hostilities in the Lugansk People's Republic. Research methods encompass the test of life-meaning orientations (D.A. Leontyev), the methodology for ascertaining the system of life meanings (V.Yu. Kotlyakov), questionnaires on life-meaning crises (K.V. Karpinsky) and the meaning of life (V.E. Chudnovsky), along with the projective graphic technique “Tree” (K. Koch). Statistical methods like factor analysis and multiple regression analysis are employed. Risk factors associated with a crisis in meaning-life among high school students are identified, including a lack of life meaning, inadequate understanding of the past, present, and future, traumatic experiences, social-psychological maladjustment, and uncertainty in personal beliefs.
