Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the dependence of the components of emotional intelligence of rural adolescents aged 13-14 years on the parameters of child-parent relations. It is shown that some significant parameters of the child-parent relationship with the mother (acceptance, positive interest and inconsistency of the mother in the educational process) are predictors of the overall level of emotional intelligence and its components (intrapersonal and interpersonal emotional intelligence). The study also shows the gender difference in the components of emotional intelligence.
