THE «DOLLS OF HAPPINESS» PROJECT AS A MEANS OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF CHILDREN OF PRESCHOOL AGE

Abstract
Abstract. The article raises the questions of patriotic education of children of preschool age. The project activity is considered as a means of education. The experience of Kindergarten No. 22 is presented, where in 2019 the «Doll of Happiness» project was developed and implemented. The project was aimed at creating children's interest in Russian folk culture through the image of a traditional Russian doll; studying the history of dolls, introducing children to materials from which dolls were previously made. Work on the project was carried out in three stages. At the main stage, various methods were used (games, integrated classes, communication classes, presentations, master classes). As a result of the development of the «Doll of Happiness» project in the kindergarten, children, together with their parents, under the guidance of teachers, created not only various types of folk dolls (play dolls, charm dolls, ceremonial dolls), but also a mini museum. Its activities are based on the principles of visibility, accessibility, reliability, variability, interactivity, multifunctionality, continuity, psychological comfort and safe activities in the museum space, coordination of training and education in kindergarten and family. The exposition of the museum is also a means of successful patriotic education of older preschool children. In particular, the museum uses such forms of patriotic education as games, individual work, independent and collective work of children, observation, presentations. In addition, the children themselves prepare and conduct excursions. An analysis of the results of the preparation and implementation of the «Dolls of Happiness» project indicates an increase in the level of patriotic education of older preschool children who took part in it.
