A CASE STUDY OF ENHANCING SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT THROUGH PROJECT-BASED LEARNING

Abstract
The article addresses the imperative of cultivating socially active individuals capable of engaging in meaningful societal contributions. It elucidates the concept of social activity, emphasizing its potential to enhance the educational experience at universities by nurturing students' ability to engage purposefully and constructively in transforming their environment. The primary goal of the article is to showcase the efficacy of fostering students' social activity through project-based initiatives. An illustrative example is provided of a project supporting participants in a special military operation undergoing rehabilitation in a hospital. This project was executed through collaboration among the university, general education and preschool institutions, public associations, and other stakeholders. The article outlines the various stages of the project and highlights its impact on developing the social activity of university students. The study concludes by affirming the effectiveness of such project-based activities in enhancing students' social engagement. It also proposes future research directions to further explore and understand this area of study.
